Reid Barry is a land specialist with TexasLand whose background combines multi-generational roots in farm and ranch real estate with a deep appreciation for the land and outdoor lifestyle that defines much of Texas. Working with buyers and sellers across the state, Reid focuses on ranch properties, recreational land, and investment acreage, helping clients navigate the unique considerations that come with owning and transferring Texas land.
Reid comes from a family with a long history in farm, ranch, and commercial real estate, as well as a shared passion for land stewardship and the outdoors. A guiding philosophy that has been passed down through generations continues to shape his approach: always strive to be a friend before trying to be an expert. While he brings expertise in land valuation, marketing, wildlife management, agriculture, and land investment strategies, Reid prioritizes building lasting relationships with clients and understanding the personal and financial motivations behind each transaction.
As an owner and manager of family land and various real estate investments, Reid understands firsthand that ranch properties and land holdings are often among the most meaningful assets a family or business may own. Every property carries its own history, character, and potential. Because of that, he approaches each listing and acquisition with careful attention, recognizing that Texas ranch real estate and land brokerage require a tailored strategy rather than a standardized approach.
Reid’s professional experience also includes a background in global supply chain management, manufacturing, consumer technology, negotiation strategy, and business development. He graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Supply Chain Management and later worked in global operations roles with both Apple and Advanced Micro Devices. That experience provides an additional perspective when evaluating land as both a lifestyle asset and a long-term investment.
Much of Reid’s time is spent traveling across Texas visiting properties and meeting with landowners. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoor pursuits that often accompany Texas land ownership, including working on ranches, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He is frequently accompanied by his yellow lab, Trace, who often joins him on the road exploring ranch properties throughout the state.
