Chris Travland is a real estate professional with TexasLand specializing in ranch properties, recreational land, and investment acreage across Texas. Born and raised in Texas, Chris brings a distinctive perspective to Texas land and ranch real estate, shaped by decades of experience in aviation and a deep familiarity with the state’s diverse landscapes.
Before transitioning into real estate, Chris spent more than 25 years in aviation sales and consulting, working with both individual clients and corporate aviation operators. In addition to his work in aviation consulting, he is also a commercial helicopter pilot, a role that gave him the opportunity to travel extensively across Texas and gain a unique aerial perspective of the land. During those years, he frequently flew clients to view properties throughout the state, an experience that naturally introduced him to the world of Texas land brokerage.
Through his aviation career, Chris developed a strong understanding of the priorities shared by aviation and real estate clients—clear communication, careful evaluation of high-value assets, and the ability to navigate complex transactions. That background created a natural transition into working with buyers and sellers of Texas ranch properties and recreational land, where similar levels of trust and expertise are essential.
Having seen much of the Texas landscape from a few hundred feet above the ground, Chris offers a rare level of familiarity with the terrain, water features, and geographic characteristics that define ranch properties across the state. When he is not showing property by land, or occasionally by air, Chris enjoys spending time playing golf and shooting sporting clays, pursuits that reflect the outdoor lifestyle many clients seek when investing in Texas land.
