Kelly Meyer is a real estate professional with TexasLand who specializes in ranch properties, recreational land, and investment acreage across Texas. With an entrepreneurial background and a career built around starting and growing businesses, Kelly brings a practical, relationship-driven perspective to Texas land brokerage and the process of buying and selling land.
Before entering Texas ranch real estate, Kelly founded and operated multiple companies, opening his first business at the age of 27 and eventually launching nine ventures throughout his career. After later stepping away from those businesses, he spent time writing a book and hosting a podcast focused on why craft breweries fail. His path ultimately led him into Texas real estate, where he quickly found his niche in land transactions.
In his first three years in the business, Kelly sold 173 properties across the Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio triangle, gaining firsthand experience with the diverse landscape of Texas land—from rural acreage and recreational land to investment tracts and ranch properties. That early momentum helped shape his understanding of the Texas land market and reinforced his focus on land brokerage as the long-term direction of his career.
Kelly often describes the work of a land agent as spending time on dirt roads, walking properties, and answering questions about land, water, and opportunity. While many may not consider that work in the traditional sense, he values the chance to spend his days exploring Texas properties, meeting new landowners, and helping clients find the right piece of land for their goals.
He works with buyers and sellers across multiple regions of Texas, helping clients evaluate ranch properties, recreational land, and long-term investment opportunities. Kelly focuses on providing clear guidance throughout the transaction process, helping clients understand the unique considerations that come with purchasing and selling Texas land.
Outside of real estate, Kelly enjoys life as a new empty-nester with his wife of 25 years. Travel, music, food, and wine are regular parts of their time together, along with the flexibility that comes from building a career around land and the outdoors.
